Third Press Conference

- Announcement of “the headquarters for Church Reform” and claim their innocence for spiritual sales.
- The counterargument for the newly proposed “anti-sect” bill in the Japanese parliament
In the conference, the church again claimed their innocence for the spiritual sales and justified their pious members’ “immoderate donation.”
Also, they talked about the “anti-Japaneseness” of their doctrine and their relationships with North Korea. As an opinion, they mentioned how Sun Myung Moon worked for Japan by helping to pass the anti-spying bill. Later they added they never sent money to North Korea.

Norishige Kondo (近藤 徳茂), Deputy Director of the General Affairs Bureau of “Unification Church,” said, “followers of the church are suffering due to biased reports.” Syuya Fukumoto (福本 修也), the lawyer and pious follower of “Unification Church,” insisted that “we will stand firmly against these reports.”
